If you engage us to represent you, we may receive information necessary to complete a transaction, including pre-approval letters, proof of funds, lender contact information, and documents required for escrow and closing. We do not collect payment card information through this Site.

Communications. The content of emails, text messages, voicemails, and form submissions you send us, and our notes about those conversations.

Referrals. If someone refers you to us, we may receive your name and contact information from them.

Lead sources. If you contact us through a third-party platform such as a listing portal or a social media page, that platform may provide us with the information you submitted there. Your use of those platforms is governed by their privacy policies, not this one.

Marketing a listing. If you engage us to sell a property, information about that property, including photographs, video, floor plans, and the eventual sale price, becomes publicly available through the MLS, listing portals, and public records. That is the purpose of listing a property for sale, and it is not something we can restrict after publication.

4. Calls, Texts, and Email

Calls and text messages. By providing your phone number and agreeing to be contacted, you consent to receive calls and text messages from us at that number, including messages sent using automated technology, regarding real estate services. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any property or service. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. You may also ask us to stop calling or texting by any reasonable method, including by telling us during a call, by email, or by replying to a message. We will honor that request within ten business days as required by federal law.

Email. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. You may also email us to be removed. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional messages about a transaction you are a party to.

Do Not Call. We maintain an internal do-not-call list and honor the National Do Not Call Registry.

5. Cookies and Tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and in some cases to show you our advertising on other platforms.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the Site functions.

Analytics and advertising partners. We may use services including Google Analytics and advertising platforms that use cookies to measure Site performance and deliver advertising. These providers may collect information about your online activity across websites over time.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to it, and we do not respond to it at this time. We do treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Your California Privacy Rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. Depending on our size and data practices we may not meet the statutory thresholds that make those obligations mandatory, but we honor the following requests regardless:

Right to know. You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.

Right to delete. You may request that we delete personal information we collected from you. We may decline where the information is necessary to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or satisfy the record-keeping requirements described in Section 8.

Right to correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.

Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. If we share information with advertising partners in a way that constitutes "sharing" under California law, you may opt out.

Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond providing the services you requested.

Right against retaliation. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

How to make a request. Email matan@matanmichael.com or call (310) 861-3459. We will verify your identity before responding, generally by confirming information we already hold. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission. We respond within forty-five days and may extend once where necessary.

Shine the Light. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

7. Fair Housing

We conduct business in accordance with federal, state, and local fair housing law. We do not use personal information to discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry, familial status, source of income, disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.

We do not steer clients toward or away from neighborhoods on the basis of any protected characteristic, and we do not answer questions about the demographic composition of a neighborhood. We will point you to publicly available data sources instead.

8. How Long We Keep Information

Inquiries that do not become transactions. We retain contact and property information for as long as it remains useful for the purpose you provided it, and until you ask us to delete it.

Transaction records. California Business and Professions Code Section 10148 requires that records of real estate transactions be retained for three years from the date of closing, or from the date of the listing if the transaction did not close. Some documents are retained longer where other law or an insurance requirement applies.

Marketing lists. Until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls on our systems and encryption in transit.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Wire fraud warning. We will never send you wiring instructions by email, and we will never ask you to change wiring instructions by email. Real estate wire fraud is common and losses are usually unrecoverable. Before transferring funds, call the escrow or title company at a number you obtained independently and verify the instructions verbally.

10. Third-Party Sites

The Site may link to third-party websites, including listing portals, mortgage calculators, and neighborhood data providers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

11. Children

The Site is not directed to children under sixteen and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Out-of-State and International Visitors

The Site is operated in the United States and intended for users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
